DVC point transfers offer a flexible way to secure extra points for an upcoming trip or to book at a resort you don’t currently own. Member-to-member transfers allow you to add DVC points directly to your account buying a new contract.
How DVC Point Transfers Work
Navigating the rules for point transfers is simple once you understand the core Disney guidelines. Below are the essential policies to keep in mind before you initiate a transfer:
- Annual Limit: Each DVC Member can send or receive one transfer per year (in or out).
- Account Usage: Transferred points appear in your account and can be used for any reservation within the Use Year.
- Banking: Points can be banked for up to 24 months (per Disney’s rules).
- 11-Month Window: Transferred points allow you to book up to 11 months in advance at the home resort they originated from—even if you don't own there.
- Reservations: When ready to book, call Disney Member Services and let them know you’ll be using transfer points.
