Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House

Deep in the jungles of the Walt Disney World Resort, you will find a beautiful African savanna lodge complete with thatched roofs and grazing giraffes. Known to Disney Vacation Club owners as the Animal Kingdom Villas, this resort brings two lodges to members, Kidani Village and the main lodge, Jambo House.

Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House Rooms

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House features a variety of accommodations, including Deluxe Studios, One-Bedroom Villas, Two-Bedroom Lock-Off Villas, and Three-Bedroom Grand Villas.

Disney Vacation Club Members also have four unique room categories to select from at Jambo House:

  • Value Accommodations: Since Jambo House was initially designed without DVC in mind, certain Deluxe Studio, One-Bedroom, and Two-Bedroom Villas are categorized as “value” due to being converted from existing hotel rooms on property. These rooms are slightly smaller than traditional villas, but also carry the benefit of a much lower cost per night. The view for these value accommodations is considered a standard view.
  • Standard View: These traditional Disney Vacation Club villas include views of the resorts parking lot and pool area. Standard view accommodations are available for Deluxe Studio, One-Bedroom, and Two-Bedroom Villas.
  • Savanna View: Enjoy breathtaking views of the resorts savanna’s from the comfort of your private balcony where you can watch zebras, giraffes, and many other animals grazing and roaming the grounds. Savanna view accommodations are available for Deluxe Studio, One-Bedroom, and Two-Bedroom Villas. All Three-Bedroom Grand Villas also include a savanna view.
  • Kilimanjaro Club Concierge: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House includes the only club level accommodations available to Disney Vacation Members. Booking a Kilimanjaro Club Concierge room includes lounge access featuring a variety of complimentary food and beverage options. Room views include a mixture of pool and savanna views.


Deluxe Studio

Deluxe Studios at Animal Kingdom Villas-Jambo House can accommodate up to four adults. Each studio features a queen-size bed and a double-size sleeper sofa. The room also includes a full bathroom, a small kitchenette, and a private porch or balcony.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas - Jambo House Points Range

One-Bedroom Villa

One-Bedroom Villas at Animal Kindom Villas-Jambo House sleep up to four adults in the value accommodations and up to five adults in other booking categories. These rooms feature a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a living room with a double-size sleeper sofa. The villas sleeping up to five adults have the addition of a single pull-out sleeper chair. These villas all feature a full kitchen and a full bathroom. Additional amenities are a private porch or balcony, and a washing machine and dryer.

Two-Bedroom Lock-Off Villa

The Two-Bedroom Lock-Off Villa category is comprised of a Deluxe Studio and a One-Bedroom Villa. The value accommodations of this villa sleep eight adults with a king-size bed in the master bedroom, a double-size sleeper sofa in the living room, and a queen-size bed and a double-size sleeper sofa in the studio room. The other booking categories of this villa sleep up to nine with the addition of a single pull-out sleeper chair. These villas also feature two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a private porch or balcony.

Three-Bedroom Grand Villa

Three-Bedroom Grand Villas can sleep up to twelve adults. These accommodations include a king-size bed in the master bedroom, two queen-size beds in each of the two additional bedrooms, and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. These villas also have a full kitchen, three full bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and a private porch or balcony.

Nightly point cost at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas- Jambo House start at 9 points per night for Value Studios, 11 points per night for Deluxe Studios, 19 points per night for One-Bedroom Villas, 25 points per night for Two-Bedroom Villas, and 75 points per night for Three-Bedroom Grand Villas. The point costs here represent one of the best values compared to other Disney Vacation Club Resorts and represent an overall great value for points.

Annual Dues

2024 Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas Annual Dues: $9.08 per point

Annual Dues or “maintenance fees” are paid yearly by Disney Vacation Club Members. These costs vary by resort and help cover real estate taxes, operating expenses, and administrative expenses for each resort.


Dining and Restaurants

Quick-Service:

The Mara: The Mara, located in Jambo House, blends traditional quick service fare with African-inspired dishes. Dine on American favorites like burgers and chicken, or discover new flavors with the falafel platter or African Potjie. Open for breakfast at 7:00 am and for late-night dining until 1:30 am, The Mara is an excellent place to satisfy your hunger any time of day.


Casual Dining:

Sanna: Located in Kidani Village, Sanna blends African cooking and Indian flavors against the backdrop of exotic animals roaming the Sunset Savanna. Be sure to check out the Indian Bread Service, a favorite among lodge guests.

Boma-Flavors of Africa: Themed to a lively African marketplace, this all-you-can-eat buffet for breakfast and dinner offers African flavors and American favorites to please any palette. Boma is located inside Jambo House.


Fine/Signature Dining:

Jiko-The Cooking Place: Transport yourself with a tasty blend of African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine featuring bold flavors and vibrant spices. This signature dining experience, located inside Jambo House, is a favorite among many Disney Vacation Club members.


In-Room Dining:

In-room dining options are also available to guests 24-hours daily. Menus within your DVC Villa will showcase the wide variety of American favorites and specialty items available at your resort.


Lounges:

Sanna Lounge: Located adjacent to Sanna, this lounge features favorites, such as the Indian bread service, and an array of cocktails and other drinks.

Victoria Falls Lounge: This intimate bar is a great place to grab a specialty cocktail or African wine while you wait for your dinner at Boma or Jiko. The lounge also offers a variety of bites such as burgers, flatbreads, wings, and appetizers.

Uzima Springs Pool Bar: From smoothies, beer, wines, salads, sandwiches, and more, the Uzima Springs Pool Bar offers a poolside oasis to treat yourself while soaking in the sun. Find this pool bar at the Uzima Pool located at Jambo House.

Maji Pool Bar: Chose from a variety of sandwiches, salads, snacks, and drinks at this Kidani Village pool bar. Located in a secluded area a few steps from the Samawati Springs Pool, this location offers bar seating and alfresco dining at outdoor tables.


Shopping

The Zawadi Marketplace at Jambo House offers a wide range of products including snacks and sundries, African artwork, African inspired clothing, Disney gifts, and apparel.

Johari Treasures located in Kidani Village is a small convenience store selling a selection of drinks, snacks, sundries, African crafts, and souvenirs.

Savannas

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is best known for its four savannas, which are teeming with African plants and animals. At Jambo House, you will find the Uzima Savanna, Arusha Savanna, and Sunset Savanna. At Kidani Village, you’ll find the Sunset Savanna and Pembe Savanna. Each savanna has a unique blend of animals where you can find anything from giraffes, zebras, ostrich, pelicans, gazelles, wildebeest, and more.


Pools and Amenities

Members and guests can relax at the Uzima Pool at Jambo House. This 11,000 square foot pool features a water slide, zero-entry point, two whirlpool spas, children’s wading pool, and is surrounded by a lush canopy of vegetation from Florida palms to banana trees.

Samawati Springs Pool at Kidani Village also has a lot to offer, especially for those with younger guests. With a water slide, two whirlpool spas, and a water playground, this immersive pool is a great place to spend a rest day.
