Update: New Transfer Fee for DVC Resale Packages Sold Jan 1, 2026 forward

Disney Vacation Club has released new information about a new policy that will impact all resale contracts signed on or after January 1, 2026.

Beginning January 1, 2026, Disney Vacation Club Management (DVCM) will implement a:

👉 $500 Contract Administration Fee
This fee will be required for every resale contract and must be paid before Disney completes the ownership transfer to the new Member.
According to Disney, this fee helps cover the administrative costs, activation processes, and system updates associated with transferring secondary-market memberships due to increased volume.

Additionally, starting the same date, DVCM will require a signed written direction from the seller/owner before they will process any ownership change request. This document must be included when submitting contracts for Right of First Refusal (ROFR).

📌 What This Means for You

  • All resale contracts signed before Dec. 31, 2025 will not be affected.
  • Any resale contracts signed on or after Jan. 1, 2026 will include the new $500 fee.
  • Additional paperwork will be required for smoother processing.

This Update appeared on the Disney Vacation Club website under the Resale FAQs. The site now states that starting January 1, 2026, Disney Vacation Club Management, LLC will charge a $500 contract administration fee for all resale contract closings.
