Housekeeping at Disney Vacation Club: What to Expect

One of the best perks of being a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member is enjoying spacious villa accommodations that feel just like home. But with that “home away from home” experience comes a different kind of housekeeping schedule than you might expect from a traditional hotel stay.

If you’re using DVC points for your stay, housekeeping works a little differently. For stays of seven nights or fewer, you’ll receive Trash & Towel Service on Day 4. That includes fresh towels, emptied trash bins, replenished paper products, and a quick tidy-up of your villa’s essentials. For longer stays—eight nights or more—you’ll get a full cleaning on Day 4 and Trash & Towel Service on Day 8.

Need a little extra cleanup? No worries! You can request additional housekeeping services for a fee, whether it’s a full clean or just a refresh. Rates vary depending on your villa size, but many members find it worth the convenience—especially after a long day in the parks.

Per the Disney Member Website:

Q: Can I pay for additional housekeeping services?

A. Members may request additional cleaning outside of their scheduled service for an additional fee. Please make your request at the Resort hotel upon your arrival.

As a reminder, if you are staying at your Disney Vacation Club Resort using Member Points or Member Cash Discounts, you will be scheduled for trash and towel service on the 4th day of your stay. If you are staying more than 8 nights, you will receive full cleaning service on the 4th day and trash and towel service on the 8th day of your stay.

Also, don’t be surprised if a Cast Member stops by for a light wellness check during your stay. These quick visits help ensure guest safety and are part of Disney’s current resort policy.

And here’s a tip: if you ever need extra towels, trash bags, or toiletries, just call the front desk or use your resort’s app—Cast Members are always happy to help.

While the housekeeping schedule might be a little different than a standard resort, it’s all part of what makes DVC unique. After all, you’re not just visiting—you’re “vacationing like you own the place!”
