Jamie’s Favorite DVC Villa: The Grand Villa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Jambo House
I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at many Disney Vacation Club resorts—different villa sizes, views, and experiences. While every resort has something unique to offer, today I’m focusing on just one thing: the villa itself. Not the location, not the amenities—just the space you get to call home during your trip.

A One-Night Stay to Remember
Even though I only stayed for one night, it was hands down one of the most magical DVC experiences I’ve had. At 2,349 square feet, this villa sleeps up to 12 people comfortably and features:
- Three bathrooms
- Two entry doors
- And my personal favorite feature: a pool table in its own game room!
That Iconic Savanna View
From the moment you step out onto the balcony, it feels like you’re in the middle of a travel documentary. Overlooking the Savanna, the view is pure magic—zebras, giraffes, and lush landscape as far as the eye can see.
After a long day at the parks or on your own Disney “safari,” the jacuzzi tub in the master bath is the perfect way to unwind.
Privacy, Space & a Touch of Luxury
One of the villa’s standout design features is a separate entryway between the master suite and the other rooms. This thoughtful layout lets early risers head out for rope drop without waking up those who want to sleep in—giving it the feel of a private home.
It’s also located at the very end of a hallway, running horizontally across the floor, which gives the space a sense of seclusion and peace. Honestly, I felt like we were the only ones at the resort.
Perfect for Family & Friends
For this stay, I invited family and friends to join me. The villa offered the best of both worlds—communal spaces where we could eat, drink, and laugh together, and private bedrooms where everyone had their own retreat.
Final Thoughts
I’ve yet to meet a DVC villa I didn’t love. And while Aulani might win the crown for best views, when it comes to space, amenities, layout, and overall WOW factor, the 3-Bedroom Grand Villa at Jambo House is my all-time favorite.
So if you get the chance—splurge on the points, bring the people you love, and prepare for a Disney trip so unforgettable, you might just think you’ve been transported straight to Africa… with all the comforts of home.
