Sell Your Disney Vacation Club Contract with DVCstore.com

DVCstore.com is operated by The Timeshare Store, Inc.®, a licensed brokerage that has been selling Disney Vacation Club since 1994.

For many Disney fans, joining Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is a dream come true. DVC offers flexible vacations, deluxe resort accommodations, and the chance to return to Disney year after year at a reduced cost.

But life changes.

For some owners, selling a DVC contract becomes the right next step. Whether your travel habits have shifted, finances have changed, or you’re simply not using your points as much as you planned, selling your DVC contract can be a smart and practical decision.

The good news? There’s a strong market for DVC resale—and selling doesn’t have to be complicated.

Why DVC Owners Decide to Sell

Every seller’s situation is different, but these are the most common reasons owners choose to sell:

  • Changes in family or lifestyle – Kids grow up, schedules change, and travel priorities shift.
  • Reduced travel – If you’re visiting Disney less often, unused points can feel wasted.
  • Financial considerations – Annual dues or Mortgage payments are due each month or annually, and selling can free up cash.
  • New vacation goals – You may want to explore destinations outside the DVC network.

Selling your DVC contract doesn’t mean you didn’t love the program. It simply means it no longer fits your current lifestyle.

At DVCstore.com, we’ve seen many owners sell their contracts—while new families step in and begin creating Disney memories of their own.

Is There a Market for DVC Contracts?

Yes—absolutely.

Disney Vacation Club has one of the strongest secondary markets in the timeshare industry. Buyers are often eager to purchase resale contracts because they can join DVC at a lower cost than buying directly from Disney.

With more than 30 years of experience selling DVC contracts, we consistently see strong demand across many resorts and point sizes.

How the DVC Selling Process Works

Selling a DVC contract is more structured than selling a traditional timeshare—but that structure works in your favor. DVC is unique in that it holds its value better than almost any other timeshare.

Here’s what the process looks like:

1. Contract Evaluation

Your contract’s value depends on several factors:

  • Resort
  • Number of points
  • Use Year
  • Remaining contract length

Your Sales Associate will provide a realistic price range based on recent sales—not just hopeful asking prices.

2. Listing Your Contract

Once your questions have been answered and you are comfortable with listing and pricing, we:

  • List your contract on DVCstore.com
  • Market it to qualified buyers
  • Advertise through referrals, call lists, Facebook, Instagram, and targeted email and text campaigns.
  • We have an active database of over 100,000 clients who have reached out with interest in buying into DVC over our past 30 years in business.

Your listing is seen by buyers who are looking to purchase DVC.

3. Offer & Agreement

When a buyer makes an offer and you come to an agreement:

  • Both parties sign a purchase / sale agreement
  • The signed agreement is sent to Disney for review under their ROFR

4. Disney’s Right of First Refusal (ROFR)

Disney has the right to review the sale and decide whether to purchase the contract themselves at the agreed price.

  • In most cases, Disney waives its Right of First Refusal, and the sale moves forward.
  • If Disney does exercise ROFR, you still have a sale; however, Disney becomes the buyer under the same terms.

Either way, everything moves forward with closing.

5. Closing & Payout

If ROFR is waived:

  • The file moves to closing with a licensed, bonded, and insured title company
  • You’ll receive final closing documents to complete and sign via DocuSign
  • You complete a secure online notary session or print and take it to a notary to complete.
  • Once closed, the title company either wires or mails your proceeds directly to you

If Disney buys the property back, it’s identical to above, but Disney just tends to take a bit longer to complete the process.

Why Sell with DVCstore.com?

DVCstore.com (The Timeshare Store, Inc.®) has been selling Disney Vacation Club contracts since 1994, and we specialize in DVC—exclusively.

Our broker, Thomas Yeary, and his wife, Judy Yeary, originally launched a timeshare real estate division within Williamsburg Realty in 1994, working with all types of timeshare properties. It quickly became clear, however, that Disney Vacation Club was a unique market with its own demand, rules, and value—very different from traditional timeshares.

Early on, our broker formed a close professional relationship with one of Disney’s original DVC Guides—one of the first six hired by Disney. That relationship proved invaluable, as Disney began referring members directly to us when they needed assistance selling their DVC contracts. In fact, Disney confirmed that we were the first brokerage to successfully sell a Disney Vacation Club property back in 1994.

Since those early days, DVC has been our sole focus.

Today, our company comprises six licensed real estate agents, all of whom have been with the company for decades and specialize exclusively in Disney Vacation Club resale and rentals. This depth of experience allows us to provide accurate pricing, clear guidance, and a smooth selling process from start to finish.

When you list with DVCstore.com, you receive:

  • Personalized, one-on-one service
  • A knowledgeable team that works together on every transaction
  • An office that is open seven days a week
  • Ongoing availability to answer questions and provide updates

Our goal is simple: to provide top-tier service, honest advice, and a stress-free experience for every DVC owner we work with.

Below are just a few of the reasons why over 35,000 owners choose to list with DVCstore.com.

  • Accurate pricing guidance
  • Exposure to qualified buyers
  • Full handling of Disney paperwork and ROFR
  • Secure escrow and professional closing services

Our goal is to make the process simple, transparent, and stress-free.

Selling your Disney Vacation Club contract doesn’t have to be overwhelming. For many owners, it’s a practical way to move forward—while giving another family the chance to experience Disney vacations year after year.

With the right guidance and expectations, selling your DVC contract can be a smooth, rewarding process—and the beginning of a new chapter.

If you’re considering selling, we’re here to help.
