SPACE 220 Restaurant Review: An EPCOT Dining Experience
Recently, my manager, Jerry Sydow, and I had the chance to enjoy a “work” lunch with our friends from Vacation Club Loans. The destination? SPACE 220 Restaurant at EPCOT—a dining experience that’s truly out of this world.

Blast Off to EPCOT Dining
This was my first visit to SPACE 220, and I didn’t know what to expect. Now that I’ve experienced it, I can honestly say: make a reservation. I’m already planning to return! Between the atmosphere, the food, and the Disney magic, SPACE 220 has quickly become one of the best restaurants at EPCOT.
The restaurant is located right next to Mission: SPACE. Guests begin in the Departure Lounge, where you board the “Stellarvator”—a space elevator that simulates traveling 220 miles above Earth. Watching the planet fade beneath you sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.
The Grow Zone & Dining Room
Once “in orbit,” you’ll walk through The Grow Zone, a rotating hydroponic garden, before stepping into the dining area. The restaurant offers sweeping views of Earth and outer space, creating one of the most unique atmospheres of any Disney World restaurant.

Drinks & Lunch Menu at SPACE 220
Even though it was technically a work lunch, I couldn’t resist ordering the Black Hole Fashioned, one of the restaurant’s signature cocktails. It paired perfectly with the futuristic setting.
SPACE 220’s prix fixe lunch menu includes two courses: an appetizer and an entrée, for $55 per adult (drinks and dessert are extra). I chose the Centauri Caesar Salad and the Interstellar Steak Frites. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Desserts Worth Sharing
We wrapped up the meal with the Flight 220 Dessert Sampler, featuring three mini sweets:
- Lunar Carrot Cake
- Tang Macaron
- Strawberry Saturn / Vanilla Mousse
If you love desserts at Disney, this sampler is a fun way to try multiple treats without overdoing it.
Why SPACE 220 Should Be on Your Disney Dining List
From the simulated space launch to the hydroponic gardens, cosmic views, and inventive cocktails, every moment at SPACE 220 Restaurant in EPCOT is designed to transport you to another world. My biggest tip? Don’t rush the experience. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and savor both the food and company.
Share Your Disney Dining Experience!
Have you tried SPACE 220 at EPCOT? We’d love to see your photos and hear your review! Share your experience on our Facebook page—especially if you have a group shot in front of the hydroponic garden or during your “space journey.”
